Tis the day before Christmas, and all through the house… no presents are found, not even a … uh… whatever.
Half day at work today, 15-20 minutes to go, then off to the parents place for food then finish off the shopping (stuff we missed earlier in the week)
I’ll post tomorrow if I remember, but expect a post-Christmas post with a list of goodies!

I’m really looking forward to sitting down with the store manager for the local tattoo shop and chat about the prospect of becoming there apprenticeship. I’ve learned from past mistakes not to get my hopes up but I think even if I get knocked back I’ll just keep trying and its not like I’m totally giving my job up. Not many people, apart from me putting it on this blog, know what I plan to do fully… but its something I feel I have to at least try otherwise its going to be niggling away in the back of my head for ages. I’ve been reading up and watching various movies to try and get at least some form of knowledge about what is required. I don’t think its going to be easy, that much is for sure, but I think the challange will be a nice change of pace from the usual sit down and ‘just get on’ that I am used to.
I’ve some days booked off, I had totally forgot about it really and as such not planned anything or to spend the time doing anything meaningful. No bonus this month or the other money I was hoping we would get meant that I’m stuck for things to do with the budget I have. I keep hearing people say ‘you should get away’ or ‘spend some time abroad’ but neither option really appeal to me. Sure, I would love to, but I get stuck in the thought that I’ve got no one to really spend the time away with unless I either take my house mate (not really my option to start with) or find someone else… which is unlikely.
Either way, the time now means I can chill out and relax watching some of the stuff I’ve missed over the last few weeks.
Off to watch some more TV… have a good weekend all

Well I figured with everything else going on I would spend some time getting my right arm sorted, so I got myself down to the tattoo shop and finished of my tribal. Next week however, I want to start updating the Japanese work on my left arm so have booked myself in for that. The idea is to get a Japanese Hanya mask. I’ve always been facinated by them and so it was a no brainer when it came to the next one to get.
Here is a little picture of it….

I really want to finish on the Samurai I have but really I am struggling to think of ways to improve him without removing some of the work thats already there. Right now its black and grey so it looks good as it is, but almost everyone I have show has said that they would like to see colour in it (even people at the shop have commented.)
Hopefully I can take some time this week to look through the websites and see if there is anything I can use on my current designs
Back on shift again… night shifts… woot

No news in a while, lots of things going on right now. House move has been and gone. Moved in over the weekend and managed to miss almost all of the rain, which was good.
No internet at home which means I cannot update or view the website I have running as quickly as I would like. Its also likely to take until the middle to end of August to get Internet running at home… stupid BT and activation.
New house mate seems to be going well, no problems so far (other than the usual things.) Not sure how long he will be around, seems to want to stay for 9 months or so… but things could change I guess.
WAR Beta is running nicely, managed to get in and running it on my machine. I still think I will need to upgrade my machine but right now the old PC is running it ok.
I’m currently skint as a skint man in a skint place, all the money is tied up in the house… which is a shame because I’ve no money for anything right now.. but my house mate did by a new TV (42″ Plasma) which looks very nice whilst playing GRID or DiRT.
Once I’ve ze Internetz going at home again, I’ll try and update the Blog a lot more often than I have been.
Well, back to night shifts I go, only 2 more days of this before I can crash out back at the house.

Very busy this week, all boxed up and looking forward to just moving in and getting things ‘back to normal’.
Also this week, I’ve been on a First Aid Course (not a basic one either!) which was interesting to say the least, lots of information to absorb but I passed my exam and received my shiny new Certificate. In all honesty, I think anyone could pass it, its so very simple to do and I think its definately something everyone should take time to do. It was 4 days of running around and crawling on ones knees but we made up for short lunches by going for a 5+hour drinking session… with a tab (how expensive is double whiskey now!?)
So this month has, so far, seen a promotion… a complete course oh and ready for the house move. I’m knackered. But its all good fun, as they say.
Got 7 days off now, for being on the course during days off, so its a chance to catch up with people and arrange possible house moving party

Why do I always feel like turning into Basil Faulty when I meet Estate Agents? Really, what is so difficult about handing them a list of questions and in there own time (before we move) get back to me? I always feel so angry at how they try to ‘fob’ people off with the same lies as well. “Sorry, thats nothing to do with us, have you read the paperwork to see what you can do?” – no numb nuts, I’m here because I haven’t checked. Help me, help you. HELP ME, HELP YOU. Right now we still have the right to pull out and whilst I really like the place I’m a little uneasy about trusting so much money and other things to someone who is clearly stupid. I ask the same questions, they give me the same answers. Why not just give me the friggin spoon now so I can bash you over the head?
/rage mode off.
In other none useful news, its night shifts again. Lovely and cool in the office, but trying to sleep during such a warm day is starting to kick back in again. Oh how I remember those days of trying to sleep and feeling shitty over the summer months. But its not so bad, I have an industrial size fan which not only keeps me cold, but also blows my eye lids shut. Its all remote as well, how nice… I can now move/turn/twist and all those other things at the click of a button. Ahhhhh.
I played GRID for as long as I felt I could, its tough playing a racing game. I’m not one for them since the early days of Gran Turismo and earning mega bucks to get those hot rod cars. Now, its just turn up and race. Out smart the AI cars and hope you make it in one piece to the finishing line. But how far, other than graphically, can you really go with a Racing Car game? Once you’ve raced a dozen times for a few hours its all just the same. GRID isn’t so bad in that it has some nice new race types to play with, but still, its not exactly a story or puzzle driven game is it?
Its a nice change though.
Right now I’m sat here listening to Coldplay’s new Album Vica La Vida, some nice songs but not as good as his original works.
Well, back to work, have a good one all

Its nice some times to just get a game from the company you work for and really enjoy it. The last few we have made are… well… strange. I’m happy to give a game credit where its due but the last 2 games are so bad, i don’t know anyone who actually kept there copy. This week was GRID week. It seemed to launch really well and without seeing the initial sales figures its tough to say if it was a better start than DiRT but I’d be suprised if it wasn’t just a little ahead in 1st week sales.
The remainder of this week is my week off, nothing but relax and gaming. Few ‘lets go for a drink’ suggestions going around now so I may take one of those offers up.
Have a good week all!
I’ll type more once my brain has come back into focus again, but needless to say, the monkey work required to get a house ready to move in to is insane. Phoneline, Gas, Electric, Council Tax, Estate Agent forms and soooo many more. Its insane.
I’m going to go watch some TV, anything that is not housing related
